Clone of 2025-2026 Raleigh County Schools Kindergarten Registration Form

Child must be 5 years old prior to July 1, 2026, to be eligible for kindergarten registration.

Important:

Kindergarten Registration will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. On that day, you will visit the school to submit the required documents and complete your child's official registration for kindergarten.

Please note that this application is separate from the registration process. You must attend registration on Friday, May 22, 2026, to finalize your child's enrollment into Kindergarten.

Children must enroll for KINDERGARTEN in their home district school regardless of placement for preschool. You will be required to provide two proofs of physical residency. If you are requesting an out of district school, you must complete a Transfer Request Form found on the Raleigh County Schools website at https://raleighcountysdwv.sites.thrillshare.com/page/familyresources and submit to the school of your choice. The principal will complete and send the form to the central office for review. These will be evaluated for approval, and you will receive a response letter in mid-August prior to school starting.

Applications submitted to the wrong school will be forwarded to the child's home school.
